What on earth does this refer to?

Spybot search and destroy says this:

LEGAL

If you remove advertisement robots with this program, you may not be allowed to continue using their host programs. Read their license agreements for further information.

----

Does this mean it'll block out adverts on pages or something? What specifically does this mean?|||Spybot has a good idea there. It's easy to just tell people you've found the spyware and such they were looking for and let them blithely get rid of it. The Spybot people, instead, warn you that some of the spyware they found may be necessary for the execution of a program you may want.

In other words, be careful what you delete. Don't completely delete it right away. Let it sit in quarantine for a while until you're more certain nothing -- especially games -- won't run if it's not there.

Hope that helps.

PS: Spybot has nothing to do with web pages. It scans your hard drive for spyware. If you're using a web host for your website and they put advertisements on your "free" pages, you have to leave them there as per your contract with the host, but Spybot won't even come into that picture.|||Some programs REQUIRE that certain advertisement stuff be running or else they'll choose to not run. This is warning that if you remove these certain advertisement things, some programs may not choose to run because of it. It's a way for the software creators to make money.|||EG you install a program that has Ask Jeeves tool bar as a sponser and is installed on your computer. you run spybot search and destroy, and it says

adaware found:

Ask Jeeves tool bar

you remove it, now the program that you installed that had the toolbar might not work.

thats all it means.
