If illegals cannot get government benefits how on earth could it affect the whole entire immigrant community?

Question..why do illegals always play the disrupt families %26amp; scares them card every time they are confronted with complying with American laws ?CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Some groups say that a bill pending in the Wyoming Legislature to cut some state services to illegal immigrants would disrupt families and scare even legal immigrants from seeking help when they need it.

House Majority Floor Leader Colin Simpson says thousands of illegal immigrants in Wyoming now receive benefits. His bill would block them from services ranging from driver's licenses and non-emergency health care to post-secondary education and food assistance.

Bille (BILLY) Metzger runs a program in Jackson that teaches English to immigrants and helps immigrant families adjust to life in the United States.

Metzger says that specifying that illegal immigrants can't receive government services would affect the entire immigrant community. She says that even many legal immigrants are already uncomfortable with dealing with the government.

http://www.localnews8.com/Global/story.a鈥?/a>|||It's all about trust, many legal immigrants will not seek help that they may get due to bad experiences and the lack of knowledge of their situation. There are a lot of both illegal and legal immigrants that do not know their case status and fear loosing any opportunity to stay in this country. And don't let people like those idiots that wrote above me don't understand what these immigrants do for this country, whether they are illegal or not they bring a lot of revenue to this country( even more than what they supposedly make the government spend)|||Most immigrants come to the U.S for a better life and freedom.

I know that It may sound strange to a American born person the fact that maybe even a legal immigrant person would feel afraid to claim benefits that they do have a right to use.

Most people in this places come from areas that the free speech and questioning of the government never happens..

Sometimes the information does not get across because they feel afraid of losing what they have.|||Personally I don't like dealing with the government and I was born here. But I have been harassed by Border Patrol Agents whenever I run a load down to Texas or any of the border states really. I've served in the military and still I'm made to feel like I have to prove I am who I am. What a load of BS.

So I can only imagine what a legal immigrant has to deal with on a day to day basis.

What about that young man in L.A. that was deported to Mexico not too long ago and is now sueing the government and L.A. county? He was born in the U.S. and still they deported him. He, from what I understand, is mentally challanged and could not really answer questions to his nationality to the satisfaction of the powers that be. So off to Mexico he went. After 3 months of living there his parents finally found him and brought him back.

The problem is that for the most part people don't see legal and illegal all they see is Mexican decent.|||The illegals must somehow transfer their fear of government to the legals. This is unfortunate and their remedy is wrong. Personally, I believe if we remove the illegals and reinforce support for legals, that will bridge the gap and lack of trust.

Tonight, my wife delivered our first child. One of the attending RN's was a legal hispanic. She has assimulated wonderfully and demonstrated she is an American as well as a wonderful person, gifted nurse and has greatly benefitted from the American dream as well as assisting us in our new born. I was proud of her and glad she chose the path she has chosen.

As such, I feel some of the best moves we can make to rid ourselves of illegals would be to: kill the jobs, amnesty ideas, benefits, anchor baby rights and deport illegals. At the same time, help legals with english, education and better encourage assimulation. Give them the tools, remove spanish from mainstream necessities such as government, signage, and other areas to lessen their dependence on spanish and increase their understanding of the need to learn english. In that process, much assimulation is possible. I cant help but feel if the illegals were gone, those here legally would feel more comfortable about assimulating and would surely lose much of the negative stigma drawn to them by their illegal couterparts and increase the possiblities of increased confidence and personal success for the legals.|||the only ones it would affect in any form or fashion are those that should not be here anyhow and besides do they not always argue that they are only here for a better life and only want to work at jobs no american wants to do so then why would they need these programs anyway if this is the agenda that they have|||Can't get benefits my **** ....................

Go down to any Government office and see who's standing in line.|||Screw the illegals they should have been shot upon entry for homeland security purposes. Their government certainly wouldnt help us if we were in their counrty why should we help them.|||Because they lied to us and hoped we wouldn't notice......they do, they are and have been using and abusing the services ment for citizens.|||Don't get me started on those worthless criminals.
