If a reliant robin can be driven with a motor bike license, where on earth do you get a motorbike insurer who will insure it as such. The only online quotes I can get have them listed as cars. But these assume you have a car license?|||"If a reliant robin can be driven with a motor bike license..."
Only if you passed your full bike test before October 2000.
"... where on earth do you get a motorbike insurer who will insure it as such."
You don't. Since the law changed 10 years ago, all three wheelers are now classed as a "Light car" for the purposes of insurance (Category B1 on your driving licence).|||When will people ever realise? The insurance companies have a captive market because all vehicle insurance is compulsory and they make up their own rules. This means that they charge what they like, they set whatever conditions they want, and they will use any and every excuse to get out of paying for a claim.
After all, what is your alternative? The government sets a legal requirement on us, then charges us 5% Tax on the f***** premiums!!!! If you don't get insurance, Mr Plod knows straight away and you get your Summons by post without even having to be stopped, courtesy of the national databases that's downloaded to all police patrol cars.
Honestly, what is the point in even asking these questions? the fat gits at Insurance companies just sit their grinning smugly at us all cos they know we can't/won't do anything except roll over and take the full length.|||You could always try the old method - use the phone. Not everything is available on the internet.|||HOW MANY MORE TIMES ? YOU CANNOT DRIVE A THREE WHEELER ON A FULL BIKE LICENCE UNLESS YOU PASSED YOUR BIKE TEST BEFORE 2000 . and it IS a car .|||it used to be insure rated and road funded as a combination (bike and sidecar) 3 wheeler.
